Executive Documentation Specialist

Careers are already the story. My job is finding the words for it.

Since 2019, I've helped senior professionals and executives put complex careers into resumes, leadership bios, value proposition letters, LinkedIn profiles, and web portfolios that read the way the work actually happened.

About

Ibrahim Sharafudeen has worked as an Executive Documentation Specialist since March 2019, helping senior professionals and executives put complex careers into words that hold up under scrutiny — from hiring committees, to boards, to recruiters skimming a hundred profiles in an afternoon.

The work spans executive resumes, leadership bios, value proposition letters, LinkedIn profiles, and personal web portfolios, built for clients across HR and finance, supply chain and procurement, and operations leadership. One recent engagement, for example, involved translating a career that spanned corporate work, humanitarian field work, and academic governance — the kind of background a template flattens into generic language. Ibrahim's process is built to avoid that: understand what actually happened first, then find the words for it.

The process itself is collaborative rather than templated — understanding a client's background and goals, drafting from that understanding, and revising in response to detailed feedback until the finished piece sounds like the person it describes.

What I help with

Each service is built around one document or profile you'll actually use — not a generic package.

Executive Resumes

A resume built to survive both a six-second recruiter scan and a slower read by a hiring committee. I work from your actual career history — roles, decisions, and outcomes — and organize it around the story a hiring manager needs to see first, not a chronological list of duties. Every draft goes through revision rounds until the language sounds like you, not a template.

Leadership Bios

A third-person narrative for the moments a resume doesn't cover — conference bios, board nomination packets, press kits, and "About" pages. Written to be read aloud as easily as it's read on a page, with enough substance to hold up in a formal setting and enough clarity for someone outside your industry to follow.

Value Proposition Letters

A short, direct letter that makes the case for why you're the right hire — built to accompany a resume or stand on its own in an introduction. It states plainly what you do well, what you've done with it, and what a hiring manager gets by bringing you in. No filler, no generic enthusiasm.

LinkedIn Branding

A full rewrite of your LinkedIn profile — headline, About section, and experience entries — so the page matches how you actually work and reads consistently with your resume. The goal is a profile a recruiter can scan in the same minute they'd otherwise spend skimming past it.

Web Portfolios

A personal website for candidates who want more than a PDF attachment — a single link that holds your resume, bio, portfolio pieces, and contact details in one place. Built and revised the same way as every other document: through direct feedback rather than a fixed template.

Executive CVs

The CV format used across the UK, Europe, and Australia runs longer and reads differently than a US-style resume — more detail on career history, less compression into bullet points. Built the same way as everything else here: from your actual background, organized for how that document is read in that market.

Cover Letters

A cover letter that earns a full read instead of a skim — it picks up where the resume stops and makes the direct connection between what you've done and what the role in front of you actually needs.

Reference & Recommendation Letters

A letter written on your behalf, or one you've been asked to write for someone else, that reads like it came from someone who actually knows the work — specific enough to be believable, not a template with a name dropped in.

Business Proposals

A proposal built to make a clear case: the problem, the approach, and what happens once it's approved. Written so a decision-maker can act on it without having to chase you for the details that are missing.

Ibrahim prepared my full set of career materials: Executive Bio, Value Proposition Letter, and a portfolio website, and carried the work through many rounds of revisions with real patience and precision. He translated a fairly complex, multi-sector career spanning corporate, humanitarian, and academic governance into materials that actually captured the substance of what I'd done, not just generic language. He was responsive to detailed feedback at every stage, careful about getting specifics right, and upfront about image sourcing, only using material once properly cleared. I'd recommend his services to any candidate who wants materials built with real attention to detail.

I'm pleased to recommend Ibrahim Sharafudeen for anyone looking for professional support with executive resumes, leadership bios, LinkedIn branding, or broader career positioning. His approach goes beyond simply formatting a resume — he takes the time to understand the individual's background, career direction, and value proposition, then translates that into materials that communicate credibility and impact. If you're an executive or career-focused leader who wants your experience positioned with greater clarity and confidence, I'd strongly recommend considering Ibrahim's support.

Ibrahim brought genuine care and professionalism to every step of my executive documentation process. He took the time to understand my background, my goals, and the story I wanted my materials to tell, and translated all of it into polished, professional documents that truly represented who I am as an executive. What stood out most was his attention to detail and consistent responsiveness — every revision was handled with care. He made what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and collaborative.
